An Eldred man is facing criminal charges for allegations that he provided alcohol to a minor and had sexual intercourse with her.
Dylan M. Hamilton, 18, of 29 Indian Creek Extension, was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge William Todd on two counts of statutory sexual assault – 4-18 years older, second-degree felonies; two counts of corruption of minors, a third-degree felony and a first-degree felony; two counts of indecent assault of a person less than 16 years old, second-degree misdemeanors; and one counts of furnishing liquor to a minor, a third-degree misdemeanor.
According to the criminal complaint, in November 2019, Hamilton gave a 13-year-old girl alcohol and had sexual intercourse with her. Hamilton was 17 years old at this time.
Then, in July 2020, Hamilton again had sexual intercourse with the girl, who was 14 years old at this point, court records indicated. He had turned 18 by the time of this second alleged incident.
Lewis Run-based state police were contacted to investigate because the girl told a relative about the second alleged incident.
Hamilton is incarcerated in McKean County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 9.
