RIDGWAY — A Ridgway man is facing charges after two 6-year-old children in his care were playing on the roof of the residence, police allege.

Ridgway-based state police said charges of endangering the welfare of children will be filed against Francis McCarren, 45.

“It was determined that during a period of time in which (McCarren) was watching the victims, they gained access to a second-story roof of the residence. The victims were on the roof for approximately an hour running back and forth across the same,” the police report stated. The alleged incident took place on Pine Avenue in Jay Township on July 18.
