The meeting of Take Off Pounds Sensibly 623 was held Tuesday evening. Seven people weighed in with a loss of 1.4 pounds.
The best loser was Marilyn and she suggested the “yes yes” to be to drink more water.
Jayme read an interesting article. It stated that eating slower is much better for one’s health than eating fast. Fast eaters are more likely to have metabolic issues. Some ways to slow down eating are putting down utensils between bites and chewing food slowly, and taking time to relish the flavors.
Evelyn presented the program titled “Walking for Your Body and Mind.” Some benefits of walking are: 1) It is a whole body experience and energy booster. 2) It improves immunity. 3) It improves sleep. 4) It curbs sugar cravings. 5) It lowers the risk for diabetes. 6) It is good for the brain and reduces the chance of stroke.
