A Bradford man was arraigned Tuesday for allegedly choking a woman during a domestic incident Tuesday morning.
Nathan Lineman, 49, of 58 Cornen St., is charged with strangulation, a second-degree felony, and simple assault, a second-degree misdemeanor.
According to court records, Bradford City Police responded to Lineman’s residence Tuesday morning for reports of an active domestic incident. Lineman told police he was arguing with the female about moving out of the residence. Police allege that Lineman attempted to get a computer tablet from the woman, but when she wouldn’t tablet to him, he placed both hands around her throat, leaving her in fear for her life, the criminal complaint alleged.
Lineman was arraigned before District Judge Dom Cercone and released on $15,000 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing in the matter has been scheduled for May 27 before Cercone.
