Local police officers from multiple departments arrested a man in Bradford City who was wanted on several warrants out of the state of Tennessee.
On Monday, Bradford City Police officers were informed that Jermaine Crawford, 29, had active arrest warrants out of Tennessee. Police indicated there were several warrants, including one for an alleged probation violation for a sentence he was serving for a charge of facilitation to commit second degree murder.
Bradford City officers contacted Huntington, Tenn., police, who said the warrants were out of Henry County, Tenn., and provided contact information. Henry County confirmed the warrants with full extradition.
At 7:59 p.m., Crawford was located at 20 Main St., and police took him into custody without incident, according to Bradford City Police. He was arraigned before District Judge Dominic Cercone on a charge of arrest prior to requisition-fugitive from justice and committed to McKean County Jail without bail. Crawford is awaiting extradition.
According to police, warrants against Crawford included a warrant dated Dec. 18 for aggravated assault with a weapon that is a felony warrant for violation of probation on an original charge of facilitation to commit second degree murder, along with active probation violations warrants, a domestic assault warrant, a warrant dated Nov. 27 for possession of a Schedule IV drug with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver.
Assisting Bradford City Police were Bradford Township Police, Foster Township Police and the Pennsylvania State Police.
