BATON ROUGE, La. — Two local students were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and graduate students and 7.5 percent of juniors, as well as faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction, are eligible for membership.
Students recently initiated include Jennifer Rearick of Byrnedale, Pa., at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania; and Jolene Renwick of St. Marys, Pa., at Duquesne University.
