RTS for March 20

SPRING: Spring began at 12:50 p.m. Thursday. This is the first full day of spring for 2020!

HOPE: It’s hard not to feel uneasy when there’s so much we don’t know about what’s happening right now.

During this time, Pastors Zoe Hatcher and Matt Burt from Open Arms Church shared a comforting message with the community.

“Remember faith is greater than fear, and worship is greater than worry. God is larger than COVID-19. This time of uncertainty presents us with an opportunity to do church outside these four walls- and to reach out to the community. We have a chance to be a blessing and to be the hands and feet of Jesus.”

The church will soon be sharing outreach opportunities in the community, too, they said.

“Reach out to your neighbors, friends and family — and be a light to the world. Keep checking our Facebook pages as we share encouraging content. In addition, pray for our nation to be healed and for God bring a revival in our country and a renewal in the church.

“Here is a good passage to reflect on: Philippians 4:4-7 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say, rejoice! Let everyone see your gentleness. The Lord is near! Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God. And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

“God bless!”

STORYTIME: Ever wanted to hear Betty White read the children’s story “Harry the Dirty Dog”?

You can watch our favorite Golden Girl, along with many other stars, read children’s books out loud at www.storylineonline.net. What a fun way to pass the time when so many of us are spending more time at home.

A website of the Screen Actors Guild — American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, its purpose is to encourage literacy among children.
