A former Bradford man was sent to jail without bail following arraignment Friday afternoon on allegations of burglarizing and stealing guns from a Foster Township home in 2019.

Kyle South, 28, is charged with burglary, a first-degree felony; criminal trespass and theft by unlawful taking, both second-degree felonies.

According to the criminal complaint, on Jan. 10, 2019, residents of a Dallas Road home called 9-1-1 to report a burglary. When police arrived on scene, the residents showed them surveillance video which showed South being dropped off at the home, going in and coming out carrying items to the car. Among the items taken were guns and jewelry, the complaint stated.

On Jan. 14, 2019, a vehicle driven by South led police in the Jamestown, N.Y., area on a high speed chase for 20 miles before the vehicle was finally stopped. Following his arrest, police found a loaded revolver on the front seat of the car; the revolver had been stolen in the burglary in McKean County, according to police reports.

South was arraigned Friday before District Judge Rich Luther and bail was denied, as South is currently a New York state prisoner, according to online court dockets.

South is scheduled for Central Court on Thursday.
