EDINBORO — The Bradford girls indoor track team took home three medals from the TSTCA Championships in Edinboro Saturday.
Regan Johnson paced the Lady Owls with a pair of individual medals. The senior took eighth overall in the long jump with a mark of 16-3.5 and fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.81.
Johnson was also on Bradford’s sixth-place 4×200 relay team, which also consisted of Mikah Watkins, Mackenzie Lucas and Emma Swanson. The group ran a time of 1:50.85.
Johnson also placed 12th in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.19.
“Regan finished her indoor career with two individual medals in the 200 and with an indoor personal best in the long jump,” Bradford coach Larry Stillman said. “The 4×200 team of Emma, Mikah, Mackenzie and Regan ran the second-fastest time ever to place sixth.”
In the 800-meter run, Hannah Lary took 17th with a time of 2:33.0.
Bradford’s 4×400 team of Abbigail Schleicher, Swanson, Lucas and Watkins took ninth in a time of 4:23.50.
“Our 4×400 team had the second-best indoor time in program history and missed a medal by less than a second,” Stillman noted.
In the field, Allyson Luke placed 15th in the shot put with a mark of 30-11.5, while Kayelyn Eschrich, Jessica Fox and Swanson each tied for 15th in the high jump with a mark of 4-7.
“We had an excellent finish to our indoor season with strong efforts by all the girls,” Stillman said. “We earned medals in three events and had a very good day.”
