After round eight in the chess league at School Street Elementary School, Lang Surveying LLC team’s lead in the junior varsity division increased to two and a half points. In second is the Williams Agency team, and third place honors go to the Prestige: Awards & Engraving team.
The varsity division is still fiercely disputed. Wood Chiropractic holds first, followed by Main Street Mercantile in second and Prestige: Watch & Jewelry in third.
Top individual scorer for board one in JV is Kadyn Tessena (captain for Dexter’s Service Center). Second place individual is Jamin Bell (captain for Lang Surveying LLC), and Owen Troisi (captain for the Williams Agency) has taken over sole possession of third. In first on board two in the JV is Micaiah Ferguson (Tasta Pizza). Lucas Wallace (Prestige: Awards & Engraving) is just half a point back in second, and Violet Papinchak (the Pharmacy at Union Square) and Owen Tingley (Lang Surveying LLC) are tied for third.
Top individual scorers for board one in varsity are Greg Henry (captain for E&M Engineering) and Todd Hennard (captain for Hennard’s Construction). Mike Jones (captain for Wood Chiropractic) is in second, and Ryan Ferguson and Bob Ferguson remain tied for third. Coach Larry Causer (member of Main Street Mercantile) maintains first place for board two. Second place is Chris Bishop (member of Wood Chiropractic), and Peyton Haight (member of Prestige: Watch & Jewelry) is in third.
