DUKE CENTER — Kane’s Ainsley Saf put on a show as the Lady Wolves handed Otto-Eldred its first loss in the last six games, a 51-32 non-league decision.
O-E struggled early, as the Lady Terrors fell behind 12-4 after the first quarter and 23-14 at halftime — a deficit that only grew as the night wore on.
“We just didn’t shoot the ball well tonight,” Otto-Eldred coach Shawn Gray said. “I think that affected us on the other end as well. Also we couldn’t stop (Ainsley) Saf from scoring. But, we head to Galeton tomorrow and hope to earn our 14th win of the season.”
Saf scored 27 points off of 10 field goals and shot 1-for-2 from the charity stripe. The senior was lights out from beyond the arc, connecting on six 3-pointers.
Emily Bucheit added nine points for Kane (10-9), while Sierra Hillman had five points.
Katie Sheeler led the Lady Terrors (13-5) with nine points. Haley Cousins finished with eight points and made two 3-pointers. Kayley Heller chipped in with six points and was 4-for-4 from the line.
