A Florida man is facing allegations that he sent sexually explicit text messages to two children in Potter County.
Charges were filed Tuesday against Tarkan Ismailoff, 38, of Palm Coast, Fla., Coudersport-based state police reported.
Police said that Ismailoff is charged with two counts each of dissemination of an intimate image to a minor and unlawful contact with a minor, third-degree felonies; and corruption of minors, first-degree misdemeanors.
The charges are filed in the office of District Judge Kari McCleaft.
According to police Ismailoff exchanged explicit text messages with a 12-year-old and a 10-year-old. The time and location of the alleged incident was reported as 9:02 a.m. Dec. 1 on Dry Run Road in Hebron Township.
Police did not say if Ismailoff had any connection to the local area.
The investigation will remain open pending further court proceedings, police reported.
There is no indication that Ismailoff has been arraigned on the charges.
The Flagler County (Fla.) Sheriff online inmate search indicates that a man named Tarkan Ismailoff — with the same birthday and town of residence as the man charged in Potter County — was charged on Wednesday as a fugitive from justice. The website states that the man was arrested by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office and is being held without bail.
Palm Coast is located in Flagler County.
