ST. MARYS — Nicole Pistner of Cameron County Probation visited St. Marys Area High School on Jan. 10 to speak to the Student Police Academy about how County Probation operates and how they sometimes work with law enforcement. She also provided the students with juvenile and adult case scenarios, which included handout information. Officer Larry Smith of the St. Marys City Police Department attended the session and provided a $100 donation to the Academy from the St. Marys Benevolent Association for their t-shirts.
On Jan. 14, Special Agent Luke Lack of the United States Secret Service spoke to the Student Police Academy about a career in the Secret Service.
Agent Lack discussed the many types of jobs that the Secret Service Offers. He also provided the students with a history book of the Secret Service and a step-by-step booklet on the hiring process.
