The potent duo of Eric Christoff and Austin Green powered Johnsonburg past Bradford, 50-44, in non-league play Saturday night.
Christoff and Green each scored 15 points. Christoff tallied nine in the fourth quarter, while Green had eight to hold the Owls (6-3) off. Green went 6-for-6 from the charity stripe for Johnsonburg (6-4).
The Rams maintained a narrow advantage throughout the game, leading by no more than two after each of the first three quarters.
Bradford was led by Tyler Gigliotti’s game-high 21 points. The guard also posted five rebounds and three steals. It was his sixth game of the season with at least 20 points.
Cam Austin added 12 points, three steals and five rebounds for the Owls, which shot 31% from the field on the night.Evan Schmidt (3 points) pulled down a team-high nine boards for Bradford.
Johnsonburg hosts skidding St. Marys tonight, while Bradford visits Kane Wednesday.

SHINGLEHOUSE — Sheffield earned its first win of the season with a decisive 78-47 victory at Oswayo Valley Saturday.
Three different Wolverines (1-8) were in double-digits, as Tyler Hepinger scored 26 points, Tony Richards added 18 and Jake Zinopal scored 19.
Sheffield jumped out to a 41-16 lead through halftime.
“I don’t think we were physical enough at the beginning of the game,” said Oswayo Valley (1-7) head coach Nick Goss. “As the game progressed, we got in a rhythm, but Sheffield did a great job of running their offense and playing great defense.”
Cayden Black led the Green Wave with 19 points, a season-high total for freshman guard. Carter Stedman added four points and 10 rebounds, while Noah Wichert posted two poitns and seven boards.
Oswayo Valley hosts Port Allegany Wednesday.
