Two-vehicle crash in Liberty Township causes damage
LEWIS RUN — No injuries were reported following a two vehicle crash at 7:33 p.m. Monday on Route 6 in Liberty Township, McKean County.
According to Lewis Run-based state police, a semi driven by Cory Wilcox, 33, of New Brighton, was traveling west on Route 6, when the driver’s side wheel separated from the trailer being towed. The wheel then struck an SUV driven by Martin Rosenwie, 61, of Port Allegany, causing disabling damage.
The SUV and trailing unit were towed from the scene, according to police. No injuries were reported, and both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
Driver escapes injury in one-vehicle crash Tuesday
RIDGWAY — No injuries were reported following a one-vehicle crash at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday on Cleveland Street, Jay Township, Elk County.
According to Ridgway-based state police, a truck driven by Joseph Wonderly, 49, was traveling east on Cleveland Street, when it failed to negotiate the right curve and exited the roadway on the north berm striking a tree.
Wonderly was found to be intoxicated and DUI charges are pending, according to the police. He was also cited with failing to follow the laws regarding driving on the right side of the roadway.
