Rebecca Miller, MD, Bradford Regional Medical Center, was presented with the Golden Stethoscope Award at the medical staff’s September meeting.
The award is a result of nominations from employees and is presented semi-annually to a physician who has exemplary relationships with patients and families and demonstrates great teamwork, patient teaching skills and support of hospital employees. This prestigious honor was created to recognize physicians who exhibit an exceptional level of professionalism, integrity and teamwork in caring for patients and families, as well as interacting with hospital staff members and other physicians.
“Dr. Miller goes above and beyond for every single one of her patients. She makes a point to sit with her patients while compassionately explaining any situation. She also advocates for others, even if not under her direct care. Dr. Miller does an incredible job explaining testing, results, procedures, developmental milestones, etc. to parents so they know what to expect,” according to her nomination.
Dr. Miller earned a medical degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo and completed a residency at Women and Children’s Hospital in Buffalo. She is a pediatrician at BRMC’s Foothills Medical Group.
