PORT ALLEGANY — The Port Allegany Alumni Association held its annual banquet Saturday at the Star Hose Banquet Room.

The meeting was led by president Phil Smith.

The election of officers for the 2020 event was held, with Edna Taylor named president; Phil Smith, vice president; Robin Formoso, secretary; and Nancy Hardes, treasurer. There were 171 classmates from 33 different classes.

Emcee Denny Bloss, class of 1976, recognized Don Mangold who was celebrating the 77th anniversary of his graduation from Port Allegany High School, and Shirley Larson, celebrating the 70th anniversary of her graduation.

Also celebrating milestone anniversaries were the class of Class of 1954 with 65 years; the class of 1964 with 55 years and the class of 1969 celebrating their golden anniversary.

Bloss did a roll call of classes and several drawings were held. The blessing was offered by Pastor Mike Culver, class of 1972.

The food was catered by Ed Vicic, class of 2001, and the Port Freeze. The date for the next Port Allegany Alumni Banquet will be Sept. 26, 2020.
