On Sept. 18, the early childhood students from the Seneca Highlands Career & Technical Center in Port Allegany visited the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.
Donna Dombeck, Ed.D., director of teacher education and associate professor of education, led the students in a mock class, EDUC 0204 Introduction to Education Course, in Swarts Hall.
Students and chaperones were treated to lunch in the Commons provided by admissions. After a campus tour, the class asked questions about the programs and discussed the first steps in picking a college or university, looking at a trade school, or other items to consider when looking into career paths.
Students receiving child development associate certification at the Seneca Highlands CTC may use it for an articulation to the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford for nine credits.
