The Port Allegany High School Homecoming Court has been announced by the Student Council, sponsors of the event. The court includes Howie Stuckey, Taylor Emerson, Eli Petruzzi, Brooke Buchsenschutz, Kalyn Naylor, Josh Rees, AJ Edgell, Anna Stewart, Emma Fox and Montgomery Tanner.
The theme for the 2019 event is Luau.
Spirit Week will begin on Monday with Yee Haw Day; Twin Day is on Tuesday, Wednesday is Why is that in my closet? Day; Thursday is Tourist Day and Friday is Orange and Black/School Spirit Day.
The Homecoming Parade will be held Friday night with line up near the Borough Building at 5 p.m. The parade will begin at 6 p.m. and will be followed by a bonfire.
The Junior High Homecoming Dance will be held from 8 — 10 p.m. in the Auxiliary Gym at the school. Crowning will be at 9 p.m. The Senior High Dance will be held Saturday night from 7:30 — 10:00 in the Main Gym. Crowning will also be held at 9 p.m.
The Gators will take on Union Allegheny/Clarion Valley on Sept. 28. Game time is 1:30 p.m. The introduction of the court and announcement of the King and Queen will be held during half-time of the game. Anyone wishing to participate in the Homecoming Parade should contact Melissa Hamilton at PAHS.
