After a one-game hiccup against Erie soccer power Cathedral Prep, the Bradford boys soccer team got back to its winning ways with a dominant performance over Oil City.
The Owls netted eight goals in the first half en route to a 11-0 victory in District 10 Region 5 action Thursday at Parkway Field.
Ryan Grady led Bradford’s (5-1) offense with a hat trick, while Gavin McGee and Colten Nichols had two tallies each.
Ian Grady, Isaiah Pingie, Colton Swanson and Ayron Hart had a goal each for Bradford, which has now outscored its opponents 50-1 in five victories this year.
“We are still nursing a few injuries from our last game (Tuesday),” Bradford head coach Wes Lohrman said. “But it was good to get the younger kids som playing time today. Everybody that was here tonight played and got some good experience. That’s good for the younger kids and the program.”
Alex Marrone and Drage Waterman had two assists each, while Brennan Grady, Ian Grady, Jaydon Warnick, Jerid Wilmoth and Matt Franz all had a helper.
The trio of Evan Schmidt, Hugh Kennedy and Zach Williams combined for five stops in net.
The Owls have the weekend off before two key games next week against Meadville and Warren.

Port Allegany 10, Northern Potter 1
ULYSSES — Despite 26 saves from NoPo keeper Pat Lehman, the Gators found the back of the net 10 times en route to a fourth straight victory.
Howie Stuckey, Shawn McNeil and Simon Burleson each scored twice for Port A (5-1, 2-0) while teammates A.J. Edgell, Jordan Card, Ben Lawton and Aiden Emerick each tallied a goal.
Emerick added a team-high two assists.
For Lawton, a three-year starting defender, it was the first goal of his high school career.
Despite the offensive outburst, Port Allegany coach Aaron Clark was quick to credit Lehman’s play in preventing it from getting worse.
“NoPo’s keeper, he played a phenomenal game,” Clark said. “He made some fantastic saves and was standing on his head at times.”
In goal for Port A, Ty Guilds and Caden Roys combined to make nine stops. Ryan Langworthy scored the Panthers’ (1-4-1).
