BRADFORD — With the enormous success of last year’s event, the Bradford Area Public Library is holding a second annual Taste of Bradford fundraiser on Oct. 3 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Bradford Masonic Center at 625 South Ave. Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased at the Bradford Area Public Library or from library board members. There will only be 125 tickets available for this exclusive event, so be sure to get your tickets early. Any remaining tickets will be sold at the door for $30.
The event will offer delicious food and drink samples from eight local vendors, as well as a silent auction and cash bar. Event sponsors this year include Brick Oven Pizza and Catering, CJ Bar-B-Que and Catering, Jan’s Pastries, Mobile Fresca, Port Freeze Catering, Top of the Line Catering, Westline Inn and The Willows Restaurant. Also featured will be live music by Alex Cole.
The library is still accepting donations for the silent auction including services, items, gift baskets and gift certificates. Several local businesses and organizations have offered to sponsor this event, including the Bradford Area Masonic Center, American Refining Group, Bradford Family Medicine and Northwest Bank. Sponsorship opportunities are still available and the library is currently offering advertising space in the event program as well.
All proceeds from Taste of Bradford will benefit the library, supplementing their Annual Giving Campaign, which runs through the end of the year.
“With the recent budget cut, we have raised our goal for the Annual Giving Campaign to $50,000. The anticipated success of this Taste of Bradford event will greatly help to supplement our annual campaign,” said Marketing and Adult Programming Coordinator, Colette Roessler.
The campaign raises funds to support operating costs such as programming, books and other materials, technology, and other additional library services.
“The library’s Annual Giving Campaign is our biggest fundraiser, bringing in more than $40,000 each year to support the operation of the library. We are so excited to be holding this event again to supplement our campaign, as last year’s event was so successful. We have a great line-up of local vendors participating and can’t wait to see what amazing food they’ll serve!” noted Executive Director, Lacey Love.
