The DuBois office of Catholic Charities Counseling and Adoption Services is holding its 24th annual “Diaper Drive” through July.
Area churches are being contacted and requested to run weekly bulletin announcements each Sunday during July, announcing the drive and also to act as collection centers. Clothing, diapers, infant toiletries and/or monetary donations will be collected from area churches to help area families or single parents who are having difficulty providing these items for their infants.
Pregnancy and Parenting Support Program, staffed by Catholic Charities Counseling and Adoption Services, provides services to expecting families and families with children under one year of age. Services are free of charge and include pregnancy counseling; parenting education and support; infant clothing, diapers, formula and baby toiletries for infants up to one year old.
Many items are made available through donations given by area community residents and churches. Anyone wishing to make a donation or who would like further information on these services can contact the organization. In the DuBois/Clearfield area, call 814-371-4717 or 814-765-2215; in the St. Marys/Ridgway area, call 814-781-3034; and in the Bradford area call 814-368-8644.
