Sexual abuse charges against a Port Allegany man were bound to McKean County Court at a preliminary hearing Monday before District Judge William Todd.
Gage Ortiz-Rodriguez, 21, of Port Allegany, faces 22 charges related to the allegations.
According to the criminal complaint, between June 1, 2017, and May 1, 2018, Rodriguez had sexual contact with two juveniles, and directed the two juveniles to take off their clothes and engage in sexual activity while he took photos.
Rodriguez is charged with four counts of photographing or videotaping a person under the age of 18 engaging in a sex act and one count of criminal solicitation-sexual assault, second-degree felonies; one count each of disseminating photos or videos of a child engaging in a sex act and possession of child pornography, third-degree felonies; four counts of corruption of minors, two of criminal contact with a minor relating to sexual abuse, two counts of unlawful contact with a minor relating to sexual offenses and two counts of unlawful contact with a minor relating to open lewdness, all third-degree felonies; one count of indecent exposure, a first-degree misdemeanor; one count each of indecent assault without consent and criminal solicitation-indecent assault without consent, second-degree misdemeanors; one count of open lewdness, a third-degree misdemeanor; and one count of harassment, a summary offense.
Rodriguez remains incarcerated in McKean County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
Bradford woman waives hearing for endangerment allegations
A Bradford woman waived a preliminary hearing before District Judge William Todd for allegations she drove under the influence of a controlled substance while a child was in the vehicle.
Tristan L. Mackey, 33, of 47 S. Center St., Apt. 47, is charged with endangering the welfare of children, a third-degree felony; DUI-controlled substance, a misdemeanor; and summary charges of driving without a license, driving while license is suspected or revoked, disregarding traffic lane and careless driving.
According to the criminal complaint, at 9:17 p.m. April 12, Lewis Run-based state police were dispatched for a report of an erratic driver traveling south on U.S. Route 219 who just passed the intersection of Route 59.
“The complainant reported that the vehicle was braking erratically and used a turn signal several times without turning,” and that “the vehicle was all over the roadway,” the complaint stated.
The officer was able to pull his vehicle behind Mackey’s vehicle and watched her vehicle cross the fog line several times and brake erratically, court records stated. He pulled her over in Sergeant Township.
Court records stated she had a juvenile with her in the vehicle.
The officer noticed her pupils her constricted, her eyes were bloodshot and her hands were shaking so badly that her paperwork almost fell out of her hand when she was handing it to the officer, according to the complaint. She also allegedly showed signs of impairment when the officer administered field sobriety tests.
Mackey was arrested and transported to UPMC Kane for a blood drawn but she refused, court records stated.
She is free on $10,000 unsecured bail.
Most charges against two accused in alleged fight withdrawn
Felony charges have been dropped for two people accused of hurting each other during a fight in April in Eldred Borough.
Amy L. Mills, 48, of Kane, and Scott W. Button, 62, of Eldred, each face a single lesser charge in the case. Both of their cases were scheduled for preliminary hearings Monday before District Judge William Todd.
According to court records, Mills pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of simple assault, a third-degree misdemeanor; while Button’s criminal case was moved to a non-traffic summary harassment charge. All other charges against them were withdrawn.
When they were first charged, they each faced charges including aggravated assault, first-degree felonies.
