SAYRE — The Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers announced that several Potter County high school students were among the 2019 scholarship recipients.
The Community Foundation currently administers funds that specifically provide scholarships to students in Bradford, Potter, Sullivan and Tioga Counties Pennsylvania and Tioga County, New York.
Potter County scholarship administered by the foundation total $6,800 in 2019.
Those scholarships are the Tomb Family Scholarship for $1,000 to Devin L. Burdick, Northern Potter High School, who plans to attend Alfred State College; Ruth Agar Memorial Scholarship, $1,000, Abigail G. Anderson, Northern Potter High School, Cedarville University; Northern Potter Scholarship, $1,000, Abigail G. Anderson, Northern Potter High School, Cedarville University; Northern Potter Scholarship, $800, Holden R. Cowburn, Northern Potter High School, York College; Gerald F. Duffee, Sr. Scholarship, $1,000, Miles M. Moate, Austin Area High School, Penn State Altoona; Darlene J. Sitler Memorial Scholarship, $1,000, Holden R. Cowburn, Northern Potter High School, York College; and Rose Marie Tubbs Memorial Scholarship, $1,000, Abigail G. Anderson, Northern Potter High School, Cedarville University.
The foundation currently manages over 100 funds valued at over $6.4 million dollars and has awarded over $1 million in grants and scholarships since inception, positively impacting hundreds of lives in the region. Community Foundation scholarships can be established by individual donors, corporations and are often in honor or in memory of a loved one.
