SMETHPORT (EC) — Six hallways at Sena Kean Manor in Smethport have been renamed.

The hallways are now identified by paintings reflecting the respective names that residents have done in the Arts in Education program instructed by Smethport artist Julie Mader.

Wednesday marked the grand opening, and the names of the hallways were revealed. They were Hemlock Lane, Red Maple Lane, Dogwood Lane, Weeping Willow Lane, Sugar Maple Lane and Honeysuckle.

The artists who worked twice weekly for 12 weeks were Patty Pratt, Carrie Brent, Ethel Williams, Tammy Slaughenhaupt, Paula Fuller, Tina Hill, Sylvia Slaughenhaupt, Janice Myers, Gladys Reinard, Danny Cosper, June Kelligan, Joe Zawacki and Kathy VanNette.
