The Upper Allegheny Health System board of directors recently elected three new board members.
Daniel DeRose, Douglas Pisano, Ph.D., and Paul Ridley will each serve full three-year terms.
UAHS is the parent organization of Olean (N.Y.) General Hospital and Bradford Regional Medical Center, affiliates of Kaleida Health.
DeRose, president, Mazza Mechanical Services Inc., graduated from St. John Fischer College and has served in his current role at Mazza since 1993. He is the Olean Business Development Corp. board chairman; a member of the Builders Exchange of the Southern Tier leadership team; Bartlett Country Club executive committee; YMCA of the Twin Tiers executive committee and past board chairman; and National Contractors Insurance LTD executive committee secretary.
Pisano is founding dean, School of Health Professions at St. Bonaventure University. His 30-year career in higher education comprises numerous leadership positions including establishing a new school of pharmacy in Worcester, Mass., and Manchester, N.H.; providing academic leadership in professor, dean, provost and vice president roles; developing and maintaining large academic budgets; leading strategic organizational reorganization and restructuring; leading professional accreditation and assessment; and fundraising. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, a master’s degree in public affairs from the University of Massachusetts and a Ph.D. in health policy from Northeastern University.
Ridley is a graduate of Grove City College and has enjoyed a 30-year career at Sundahl and Co. Insurance in Bradford where he currently serves as vice president. He is vice chairman of the Bradford Hospital Foundation board and a member of the Bradford Area School District board where he served as past president and vice president. He is also Rotary Club of Bradford board treasurer, Seneca Highlands Intermediate Unit Nine board president, and a member of Hill Memorial United Methodist Church where he’s served as lay leader and chairman of the finance committee.
