Eighteen students awarded Galeton Foundation scholarships

GALETON — Eighteen Galeton High School students have been awarded scholarships from The William and L. R. Gale Community Foundation a/k/a Galeton Foundation.

The 2019 scholarships totaled $201,000, with each student being awarded $1,500 per semester. The scholarship recipients include Evans Brooks, Julia Burrows, Marley Burrous, Erin Cimino, Jesse Crawford, Regan Fuller, Page Grant, Joel Griffen, Brielle Kalacinski, Marika Lechler, Aidan Locke, Haylee Ludington, Brandon Mainus, Katelyn Pagano, Emily Quinn, Brandon Ruef, Seth Succowich and Madelyn Sunderlin

The Galeton Foundation Board, along with C&N’s Wealth Management division acting as trustee of the Galeton Foundation, started this scholarship program in 2013 for current Galeton Area High School seniors who have been accepted by an accredited college, university or trade school. The scholarship awards may be used to help pay for tuition, books and room and board.
