SMETHPORT — A Bradford man pleaded Thursday in McKean County Court to allegations that he assaulted a former paramour.
Leonard K. Winslow, 29, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to a charge of simple assault. On March 6, Winslow kicked and slapped a former paramour in the face, said District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer. He will be sentenced Aug. 1.
Also in court, Chaz E. Zawatski, 28, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to a charge of retail theft. Assistant District Attorney Bridget Murphy said that on March 18, Zawatski took six televisions valued at a total of $948. He will be sentenced Aug. 1.
Brad E. Olmstead, 38, of St. Marys, will serve one year of probation for a charge of false identification to a law enforcement officer. On May 16, Olmstead pleaded guilty to allegations that on July 7, he identified himself to a police officer using a false name — Greg Olmstead — when the officer told Olmstead he was subject to an investigation.
Aisha R. Alzubi, 23, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to one charge of retail theft. On Feb. 2, Alzubi took $243.58 in merchandise from Walmart, said Murphy. She will be sentenced June 20.
Richard Kline, 39, of Portville, N.Y., pleaded guilty to charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana for personal use, possession of drug paraphernalia and a summary charge. He will be sentenced Aug. 1.
The following people were accepted into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program:
Jack D. Ball, 22, of Kane, for theft of property lost, mislaid or delivered by mistake; Cyrus S. Gilmore, 34, of Kane, for DUI-controlled substance; and Jake M. Avenali, 37, of Ludlow, and Shay L. Robinson, 21, of Kane, both for DUI-alcohol.
