DUKE CENTER — Jim Coast Sales and Service has a lot to celebrate.
Its grand opening and 50th anniversary celebration was held Saturday at the new 16,000 square foot facility located at 626 Main St. in Duke Center.
“The weather couldn’t have been more perfect,” exclaimed Mat Coast of his family’s business. “We estimate that 450 to 500 people attended our event this past weekend.”
Those in attendance frequently commented on the amount of inventory and other products that were on display. Several people didn’t realize how big of a variety of equipment was in stock. Several people browsed through the showroom checking out the side-by-sides, zero turn tractors, power equipment, helmets, and much more. A memory wall on the history of Jim Coast Sales and Service was created in the corridor that connects the showroom to the service area. The guests enjoyed free hamburgers and hotdogs and a large 50th Anniversary cake. Those in attendance also signed up for many giveaways, a mammoth cooler, corn hole boards, and other great prizes.
Coast explained that with the extra space they now have, they will be able to rearrange the showroom to display equipment that is appropriate for the season, but also keep off-season equipment on display for those who like to do their shopping during those months.
“We have already seen a significant increase in sales since the new store opened in April, and we expect things to grow moving forward,” Coast said. A new addition of Kioti Tractors also has them very excited and helps them towards their goal of being a true one-stop-shop for everyone’s outdoor power equipment needs.
