Bradford man facing assault charge for BRMC incident
A Bradford man is facing a criminal charge for allegedly grabbing the groin of a male emergency room technician at Bradford Regional Medical Center earlier this month.
William Michael Duffy, 40, of 34 Bedford St., is charged with indecent assault without consent, a second-degree misdemeanor.
According to a criminal complaint, at 11:16 p.m. May 16, in the emergency department at BRMC, Duffy was there for treatment of an overdose when he allegedly grabbed a man’s groin. Police had already been summoned twice that same evening for incidents involving Duffy, including one where he was saying inappropriate things to ambulance personnel.
Duffy was arraigned Thursday before District Judge Dom Cercone and released on $5,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Central Court June 6.
Bradford man charged in alleged telephone pole theft
A Bradford man was arraigned Thursday on an allegation that he took a defunct telephone pole from someone else’s property.
Gregery Arnett, 22, is charged with theft, a first-degree misdemeanor; criminal mischief, a third-degree misdemeanor; and trespassing, a summary offense.
According to court records, on April 25, Arnett drove onto posted property off Lafferty Hollow Road, where another person had stored a defunct telephone pole that he had purchased. Arnett hooked a chain up to the pole and dragged it to Lawton Road, causing damage to the pole.
When police confronted him, he said he had thought the pole was abandoned, and thought it was OK to take it.
Arnett was arraigned before District Judge Rich Luther and released on $2,500 unsecured bail.
He is scheduled to appear in Central Court June 6.
