Bradford track sweeps St. Marys, Kane

ST. MARYS — Donny Pattison, Tyler Kraft, and DaeMone Patterson each had three first place finishes against Kane and St. Marys Tuesday to lead Bradford to victories.

Bradford topped Kane 108-42 and St. Marys 115-35.

Pattison won the 100 (11.6), the 200 (23.9) and was a part of the 4×100 relay (45.8).  He also placed third in the shot put for an overall stellar day.

Kraft won the 1600 and 800 meter runs and was on the winning 4×400 relay.  Junior DaeMone Patterson won the High Jump (6-0), the triple jump (40-7) and the 110 High Hurdles (16.0).

Mike Bosworth, Alex Liners, and freshman Jerid Wilmoth also had four first places.  Bosworth won the 400M (53.4) and was on the winning 4×100 team. Liners won the 300M Intermediate Hurdles (44.0) and ran on the 4×400 team (3:42.9).  Wilmoth was a member of the winning 4×800 relay(9:02) and the 4×400 team. He also placed third in the 800M for good measure.

Other first places winners were:  Steve Kellam PV – 13ft and a personal best.  Kellam also won the long jump (20-0, personal best) and Nik Erickson and Owen Kane in the 4×100 relays.

Jake Pattison, Ryan Cottillion, Gabe Mitchell, and Steve Morgan were members of winning relay teams.

“The other teams kind of beat up on us pretty good in the throws,” Bradford track coach Tom Tessena said. “We have to get better there.  We showed up better in quite a few event day and maybe our hard work is beginning to show.

“We are taking about 12 guys to the Bruce Dallas Invitational on Friday and Saturday this weekend.  That will be a great opportunity to improve. Coach Kelley, coach Cercone, Coach Teribery and Coach Stillman have really been working hard with these guys.”
