Bowl for Kids’ Sake has been scheduled for 4 to 6 and 7 to 9 p.m. April 6 at Byllye Lanes in Bradford.
The annual event is the largest fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of McKean County, and all of the proceeds remain in the county to support mentoring services for local children.
Gather five or six friends, family members, or co-workers and call 1-877-776-1636 to register a team and reserve a lane. No bowling skills are required. Each team member collects a minimum of $50 in donations to participate in two games of bowling, shoes included, food and prizes. Teams that add to the fun by making their own team shirts, costumes or demonstrating school or workplace pride and/or raise a total of $500 or more earn extra gift basket raffle tickets. Bowlers can also purchase tickets for a homemade cooler donated by Elk County Juvenile Probation.
Not a bowler? Sponsor a waiting child and their family to bowl at the event or donate time to volunteer.
Local businesses can support Bowl for Kids’ Sake by becoming a lane sponsor or by donating prizes for the gift basket giveaway or food to be enjoyed at the event.
