SMETHPORT — A man entered a guilty plea Thursday in McKean County Court to allegations he delivered crack cocaine.
Joseph J. Cole, 45, pleaded guilty to charges of possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility. According to District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer, on Nov. 5, Cole sold about 1.9 grams of crack cocaine and used a cell phone to set up the delivery. He will be sentenced Feb. 7.
Also in court, Joshua K. Green, 41, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to a charge of theft by unlawful taking and a summary charge. On June 24, Green broke into a video poker machine at the Uni-Mart on Chestnut Street in Bradford, taking $1,500 in cash and causing $150 in damage, according to Shaffer. He will be sentenced Feb. 7.
Scott W. Button, 62, of Eldred, pleaded guilty to a charge of simple assault. On Dec. 24, after an argument with a woman, Button shoved her, and she fell into a workbench; he also shoved her while she was in her vehicle hard enough that she thought she might have a broken wrist or rib, according to Shaffer. He will be sentenced Jan. 24.
Jacob A. Bradford, 19, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to charges of criminal trespassing and criminal attempted theft by unlawful taking. According to Assistant District Attorney Jerry Grill, on Oct. 29, Bradford entered a garage next to a building on 6 Forman St., Bradford City, to commit theft. Bradford will be sentenced Feb. 7.
Stephen L. Cornelius, 30, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to a charge of simple assault. Shaffer said that on Oct. 10, Cornelius punched another man in the nose during a verbal altercation. He will be sentenced Feb. 7.
Kolorado O. Banks, 19, of Bradford, pleaded guilty to a charge of receiving stolen property. On Dec. 21, 2017, he received a stolen item valued at $250, said Grill. He will be sentenced Feb. 7.
Jay N. Patterson, 58, of Pensacola, Fla., pleaded guilty to charges of DUI-alcohol and a summary charge. He will serve 72 hours to six months in McKean County Jail.
Terry J. Morton, 38, of Mount Jewett, will serve 60 days of incarceration for a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana for personal use and a summary charge.
The following people were accepted into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition Program: Reginald D. Rogers, 22, of Bradford, for DUI-controlled substance; Theodore A. Foster, 46, of Hazel Hurst, Benjamin J. McCracken, 31, of Bradford, and Kayla D. Swartz, 28, of Mount Jewett, all for DUI-alcohol; and Craig A. Davis, 65, of Oil City, for DUI-general impairment.
