The Ridgway-Elk County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its Mountain Fest this weekend at the former Motion Control building on Gillis Avenue in Ridgway.
The event kicks off today at 3 p.m. and will run until 10 p.m.
Today’s entertainment lineup will include Ralph Williams demonstrating primitive furniture at 3 p.m., Tim McClain and Co. from 3 to 5 p.m., Becky Titchner in “Sleepwalker” 5 to 7 p.m., and a karaoke contest & dance contest 7 to 10 p.m.
Saturday will feature Billy & The Neptunes from 1 to 4 p.m., a presentation for Dave Love and awards from 4 to 5 p.m., Even Gerg from 5 to 6 p.m., Sharon Leitzel from 6 to 7 p.m., and Moonshine Outlaws from 7 to 10 p.m.
Sunday’s entertainment will include White Feather from 11 a.m. to noon, JM Williamson from noon to 1 p.m., and Rodney Brennan on accordion from 1 to 3 p.m.
Attractions throughout the weekend include Godfrey Huggler known as “The Knife Guy,” chainsaw carvers, horse and wagon rides, and “mudslide pottery,” and the mountain man beard contest –– including categories for the longest beard, most decorated beard, and longest handlebar mustache. Entries must be between 2 and 3 p.m on Sunday. The winners will be announced after 4 p.m. on Sunday.
