SMETHPORT — Bree Garzel posted 20 points and recorded six steals and three assists as she keyed Port Allegany’s 54-20 victory over Smethport in North Tier League girls basketball action Thursday.
Cierra Lannager brought down 12 boards for the Lady Gators, and Cailey Barnett added 17 points, 5 rebounds and four steals.
Leading Smethport (now 1-7 in the league) was Kassidy Didomicio, with five points and nine boards.
Port Allegany moves to 9-2 overall and 6-2 in NTL action. They host Coudersport Monday.

Otto-Eldred at Northern Potter
ULYSSES — Autumn Smith posted 11 points to lead Otto-Eldred to a 45-29 victory over Northern Potter in high school girls’ hoops Thursday.
O-E used a 16-8 first quarter to set the pace and finished up with a 12-point fourth quarter to cement the night’s victory.
Northern Potter, now 6-5 on the season, returns to action Monday as they host Smethport.
