SMETHPORT — After a tightly contested opening 16 minutes, the Lady Falcons rolled to a 23-7 second half advantage to rout its NTL rival on Wednesday.
Shaelyn Black (16) and Rosalyn Page (10) were both double figures for Coudersport (5-1, 5-3), which exploded to a 15-3 edge in the third quarter.
“We came out with good first half intensity and really battled them,” Smethport coach Chad Goodman said. “Obviously the third quarter made the difference in the game, Coudersport really picked up the intensity.”
Erin Herzog led Smethport (1-6, 1-4) with nine points.

GALETON —Erin Stauffer made 10-of-16 free throws and finished with 16 points and Cailey Barnett added 12 points, including a trio of 3-pointers, to help Port Allegany (6-1) keep pace atop the NTL.
After leading by just one (8-7) after the first quarter, the Lady Gators went on a 37-23 run the rest of the way to close out the win on the road.
Galeton fell to 4-6 with the loss.
