Cameron Co. wins again, Port A edges NoPo

AUSTIN — While Coudersport has grabbed most of the attention in the North Tier League this season with its hot start, the Cameron County have also handled its business in every league game so far.

Jake Walters recorded a double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds as Cameron County beat Austin 61-46 for its sixth consecutive victory on Friday.

After losing to Ridgway in double overtime in its season opener, Cameron Co. has won by double figures in each of the last six games.

Caden Beldin also keyed the Red Raiders= (6-1, 6-0) offense with 16 points.

Cameron County used a 14-6 lead at the end of the first quarter to set the tone and went on to maintain the advantage through the remaining three quarters of the game.

Offensively for Austin, Jackson Glover recorded a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Glover also had seven assists.

Blake Burgett added 12 points for the Panthers (3-5, 1-3).

Cameron County is idle until Jan. 3, when they host Otto-Eldred.
