    NoPo, Austin boys bball score weekend victories

    GALETON — Dempsey Glover put up 26 points and 10 rebounds, and Austin outscored Williamson 39-23 after an even first half in the consolation game to close out a 70-54 win in the Williamson Tournament.

    Also for the Panthers (1-1), Jackson Glover racked up 13 points, six assists and six steals; Blake Burgett scored 14 points; and Mason Valenti handed out six assists.

    Kolby Allen led Williamson (0-2) with 18 points.

    Northern Potter 61, Bucktail 51

    WESTFIELD — Carter Anderson and Holden Cowburn scored 17 and 16 points, respectively, to lift Northern Potter in its opener.

    Bucktail got 14 points from Devin Serfani.

    Saturday’s win was the first for Northern Potter since January 2017.

    ALLEGANY — Fredonia (1-1) took the consolation game thanks to 14-point performances from Brayden Myers and Nate Shuart.

    Connor Alfieri scored 10 points for Smethport (0-2).

    Shuart and Smethport’s Caleb Lutz earned all-tournament recognition.
