Fishing eagle

Era photographer Wade Aiken captured this shot of our national bird, the bald eagle, catching a fish at Conowingo Dam in Maryland. If Benjamin Franklin had gotten his way, the turkey would have been designated our national bird, which brings one to wonder what we would be eating on Thanksgiving if Franklin had gotten his way.
