Kane-based state police are seeking information on two men accused of impersonating McKean County police officers on Wednesday.
Police are urging residents to vigilant during the investigation.
According to police, at 6:59 p.m. Wednesday, two men appeared unsolicited during an argument at a property on Route 46 in Keating Township.
One of the men claimed to be from the Otto-Eldred Regional Police Department. This man was about six feet tall, weighed about 170 pounds and had light colored hair. He wore a long-sleeved navy-colored uniform with a silver badge on his left chest and a duty belt with a pistol, holster and handcuffs.
The other claimed to be from the Foster Township Police Department. He was about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighed roughly between 240 and 250 pounds. He wore a short-sleeved black uniform with yellow stripes on the sleeves and had a pistol and holster.
