RIDGWAY — A Houtzdale woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon in Jay Township.

One motorist, Eleanor Masisak, 73, of Houtzdale, died, while the second motorist, Angela N. Huff, 29, of Weedville, suffered minor injuries, Ridgway-based state police reported.

There were no passengers.

According to police, at 3:50 p.m. Sunday on Route 255, a vehicle driven by Masisak was traveling south on Route 255, when a vehicle driven by Huff pulled onto Route 255 from Hickory Avenue. Masisak’s vehicle struck the driver’s side of Huff’s vehicle.

Masisak was transported via Bennetts Valley EMS to Penn Highland Elk, where she was pronounced dead, police stated. Meanwhile, Huff is believed to have suffered minor injuries but she declined transport to a medical facility.

Both vehicles sustained severe damage, according to police.

Huff was cited for violating vehicle code related to vehicles entering or crossing the roadway, police said.
