An Emporium man is in McKean County Jail on firearm and drug charges after he was pulled over early Monday morning.
Emporium-based state police reported that Keith A. Lucanik, 52, of Emporium, was pulled over at 3:52 a.m. Monday as part of an investigation into an ongoing trespassing complaint at the Teutech LLC plant in Emporium.
According to police, during the traffic stop, Lucanik was found to be in possession of a loaded long gun, a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Lucanik is not allowed to possess a firearm.
The Pennsylvania online court docket website indicates that Lucanik was convicted in 2008 of felony charges of possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance or a counterfeit controlled substance.
Police did not provide details about the trespassing allegations.
Lucanik is charged with possession of firearm prohibited, a first-degree felony; defiant trespassing, a third-degree misdemeanor; possession of a small amount of marijuana for personal use and possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanors; and carrying a loaded weapon, a summary charge.
Lucanik was arraigned before District Judge James Martin and jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 1.
