SINNEMAHONING — Special guest singer, songwriter and historian Van Wagner will present “125 Years of Pennsylvania State Parks” during the First Fork Festival at 2 p.m. Oct. 13 at Sinnemahoning State Park.
The presentation will take place in front of the Wildlife Center.
A little bit of music, a little bit of laughter, and lot of culture make this unique educational program a reminder of why Pennsylvanians should be proud, according to organizers. A native of the Danville area, Wagner has performed musical storytelling all over the world and has been featured in several film productions.
Wagner’s one-hour performance of storytelling and music will commemorate the 125th anniversary of state parks, tracing the heritage of restoration, recreation, conservation and family fun as attendees reflect on how Pennsylvania’s citizens were instrumental in the establishment of state parks.
