    Bradford golf defeats Ridgway

RIDGWAY — The names atop the Bradford boys golf leaderboard were slightly different on Tuesday, but the results remained the same.

The Owls moved to 3-0 on the season with a 218-239 victory over Ridgway led by Joey Frigo, who medaled and shot the day’s low score of 38.

Tommy Anderson (43), Joe Gorse (44), Spencer Cornelius (45) and A.J. Gorse (48) made up the remainder of Bradford’s top five.

“(Joey) finally stepped up as a senior,” Bradford golf coach Travis Faulkner said. “He had a great round with only a few bogeys and some birdies. He was consistent all the way around and showed why he is becoming one of the better golfers on the team.”

It was Frigo’s first medal of the season after Cornelius captured the first two for the Owls.

Faulkner also highlighted the performance of Peyton Manion, who shot a 49 in his first match of the season to just miss out on the Bradford leaderboard.

The Owls hit the course again this afternoon against Elk County Catholic.
