Kane-based state police are investigating a clash that allegedly took place early Sunday morning at a party in Hamilton Township after the Big 30 All-Star Charities Classic.
Police indicated that during the alleged incident, someone was hit by a sport-utility vehicle, then several people broke windows out of the SUV.
According to police, at 1:21 a.m. Sunday on Coal Mine Road, about two miles north of U.S. Route 6, they received a report that a large group of people damaged a vehicle at what is known as “The Big 30 Party”; they received a second call stating that the same vehicle, the SUV, had run over someone who was fleeing the scene.
Through their investigation, police determined that the SUV’s operator had struck someone, and it was then that a large group of people broke windows in the vehicle. Damage to the SUV is estimated at $2,000.
Police did not say if anyone was hurt.
They did release the names of five people involved, but they did not say what each person’s alleged actions were.
Police named as arrestees Devon Brown, 20, of Smethport; Hunter Yasurek, 20, of Kane; and Devan Hulings, 27, of Kane. Hulings is listed as a victim, too.
Identified as victims are Ashley Haight, 28, of Kane; and Hannah Hogand, 18, of Bradford, according to police.
