Police are still seeking the suspect in an alleged robbery of the Kwik Fill on South Avenue in Bradford Township.
Bradford Township Police Chief Robb Shipman confirmed that the suspect is the same as the man wanted for two recent robberies in Allegany County, N.Y.: Chase H. Lotter, 27, of Genesee, N.Y.
According to Bradford Township Police, at 10:14 p.m. Tuesday, someone committed armed robbery at the Kwik Fill, located at 713 South Ave.
Initial reports had indicated that the suspect threatened an employee with a knife before fleeing on foot behind the store. Police from multiple departments and a K-9 handler were dispatched.
New York State Police reported that Lotter is wanted for alleged robberies occurring July 24 in Bolivar, N.Y., and Monday in Belmont, N.Y.
About 11 a.m. July 24, Lotter walked into the Steuben Trust Bank, 319 Main St., Bolivar, and demanded money through a handwritten note. He was allegedly given money, then he fled on foot, according to state police.
Then, about 2:30 a.m. July 30 in the Belmont Crosby’s Gas Station, Lotter allegedly demanded that the clerk give him all the money in the register, which the clerk did. Lotter left on foot, heading southbound on Route 19, state police stated.
During the Belmont robbery, Lotter allegedly made gun threats but did not show the clerk a gun, according to state police.
At one point, state police reported that Lotter was operating a stolen green Chevrolet Silverado with NY registration 47120JK.
