Criminal charges have been filed against an Olean, N.Y., man accused of stealing from a Lewis Run home on Wednesday.
Kane-based state police report that Thomas Washington, 29, of Olean, entered a Main Street, Lewis Run, residence through a window and took about $1,154 worth of items that belong to a 26-year-old Lewis Run woman.
A warrant has been issued for Washington’s arrest. There is no indication he was in custody as of press time Thursday.
According to the online case docket, Washington is charged with burglary, a first-degree felony; theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, both first-degree misdemeanors; criminal mischief, a third-degree misdemeanor; and summary defiant trespassing.
