A Port Allegany man is accused of urinating from his porch during the day in view of a child.
Wayne R. Barnett, 74, of 605 N. Main St., is charged with three counts of indecent exposure, one first-degree misdemeanor and two second-degree misdemeanors; three counts of open lewdness and six counts of disorderly conduct, all third-degree misdemeanors; and three counts of summary harassment.
Barnett was arraigned Sunday before District Judge William Todd and committed to McKean County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
According to the criminal complaint, a neighbor of Barnett’s contacted Port Allegany Police because Barnett comes out on his back porch several times a day naked or in only a T-shirt and urinates off his porch, which is across from the neighbor’s kitchen window.
On Friday, there was an 8-year-old girl at the neighbor’s house who witnessed Barnett come outside with pants around his ankles and urinating off his porch, the complaint stated.
On Sunday, a police officer went to Barnett’s home to tell him to stop; Barnett apologized and said it wouldn’t happen again. Just after the officer left, Barnett went back to his back porch and urinated from it again, the complaint stated.
Barnett is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Thursday.
