SMETHPORT — A Bradford man was sentenced to a term in state prison for charges in two separate cases, an assault case and an endangerment case.
Steven R. Curcio, 49, will serve two to four years in prison with credit for 286 days for charges in two cases. He’s charged in one case with simple assault and in the second with recklessly endangering another person and DUI-controlled substance.
According to court records filed at the time Curcio was first arrested, on Sept. 16, he allegedly ran over a woman he had been arguing with after having used cocaine the night prior; then, on Oct. 4, he allegedly punched another inmate at the McKean County Jail while the other inmate was sleeping.
Also in court, Tonya M. Graves, 29, of Lewis Run, pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated assault. On Nov. 29, Graves struck a woman with a deadly weapon — a tire iron — causing huge lumps on her head and injuries to her cheek, ear, arm and wrist, according to District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer. Graves will be sentenced Aug. 2.
Amanda N. Fisher, 27, of Kane, pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance and possession of precursors of methamphetamine. Shaffer said that on Feb. 8, Fisher conspired to manufacture methamphetamine and she possessed precursors for meth. Fisher will be sentenced Aug. 2
Gregory G. Burdick, 32, of Emporium, will serve one to two years in state prison with credit for 79 days of time served for a charge of simple assault. Records filed at the time Burdick was first charged alleged that on April 5, he assaulted his cellmate at the McKean County Jail; the victim was allegedly a witness in a separate methamphetamine-related case in Cameron County. Burdick has not been convicted in the meth case, which is still ongoing.
Steven J. Terwilliger, 34, of Bradford, will serve one to five years in state prison with credit for 51 days of time served for charges of DUI-alcohol and summary charges.
Terry E. Sorensen, 41, of Bradford, will serve nine months to two years in state prison for a charge of retail theft and a summary charge. Sorensen pleaded guilty May 31 to allegations that on Dec. 23, he took two prepaid phones, a screen protector and a phone case worth $166.70 from Walmart — even after being told in 2014 that he was not allowed to be at the store.
Allison L. Hassek, 36, of Bradford, will serve 90 days in McKean County Jail with credit for 42 days of time served and an additional five years in the Intermediate Punishment Program for charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI-alcohol, DUI-controlled substance and summary charges.
Heather L. Yohe, 25, of Bradford, will serve five years in the Intermediate Punishment Program with 31 days of credit for time served for a charge of DUI-alcohol and summary charges.
Joshua M. Harris, 26, of Eldred, will serve five years in the Intermediate Punishment Program for charges of DUI-alcohol and summary charges.
Todd Stahli, 23, of Eldred, will serve four to 23 ½ months in McKean County Jail with credit for 113 days of time served and two years of concurrent probation for a charge of terroristic threats. Court documents filed at the time of Stahli’s arrest indicated that on April 28, he threatened a male through Facebook messenger and through text messages to his ex-girlfriend, then he showed up at the male’s home.
Justin L. Safford, 38, of Smethport, pleaded guilty to one charge of criminal mischief. According to Assistant District Attorney Jerry Grill, on Oct. 12, Safford damaged the entrance door, walls, carpet and ceiling tiles at 2982 E. Valley Road, Smethport. Safford will be sentenced Aug. 2.
Erica L. Haggard, 29, of Mount Jewett, will serve six months in the Intermediate Punishment Program for a charge of DUI-alcohol and summary charges.
Jason Gaberseck, 42, of Emporium, will serve six months in the Intermediate Punishment Program for a charge of DUI-alcohol and summary charges.
Joseph L. Frontino, 37, of Bradford, will serve one year of probation for a charge of disorderly conduct and a summary charge. He pleaded guilty June 7 to allegations that on Dec. 3, while under the influence of alcohol, he got into a scuffle with people at the Lighter Side bar.
