A Port Allegany man is in McKean County Jail after allegedly threatening to kill people.
Robert J. Wright Jr., 43, of 217 E. Mill St., is charged with terroristic threats, a first-degree misdemeanor, and summary charges of harassment and public drunkenness. He was arraigned Sunday night before District Judge David Engman and jailed in lieu of $10,000 bail.
The criminal complaint states that at 9:10 p.m. Sunday, Port Allegany Police responded to Pearl Street, Port Allegany, for a disturbance.
According to the complaint, Wright, who was heavily intoxicated, became irate at family members and threatened to kill them or anyone else who got in his way. There were allegedly several young children near the area.
Wright told them he was going to get a truck or a tank and run people over, and he said he was going to get a shotgun and shoot anyone he saw, the complaint stated. He also allegedly threw a beer bottle at a female, striking her in the head.
Wright is scheduled to appear in Central Court on Thursday.
